A music and arts festival in honour of late Winnipeg musician Gerry Atwell is set to raise funds for youth mentorship in music and focus on systemic racism.

Gerryfest is planned for Aug. 14 at the St. Norbert Arts Centre to celebrate Atwell, who died last fall. He was known as the Juno Award-winning keyboardist for the band Eagle and Hawk.
