Manitoba’s next lieutenant- governor will be sworn in June 19.
Janice Filmon officially takes over from Lt-Gov. Philip Lee at a special ceremony in the legislative assembly chamber Friday, June 19 at 2:30 p.m.
The oath of office will be administered by Chief Justice Richard Chartier. Filmon, a recipient of the Order of Canada and the Order of Manitoba, was appointed to the position by Prime Minister Stephen Harper earlier this year.
