Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 25/06/2022 (1209 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
“Thanks” is a powerful word, and we all were given ample reason to use it often in 2021.
Through another pandemic-impacted year, St. Boniface Hospital Foundation donors steadfastly maintained – and in many cases increased – their generous support of essential services, compassionate patient care, and groundbreaking medical research at St. Boniface Hospital.
Our community of caring showed us the Hospital could count on you when your gifts were needed the most. Your gifts have had a profound impact on the tens of thousands of patients and their families who depend on St. Boniface Hospital each year. Donor support allowed the Foundation to grant more than $7 million to patient care and research initiatives at the Hospital in 2021.

Saying Thanks, St. Boniface Hospital Foundation’s 2021 annual report is now available for free download at stbhf.ca. Inside, you can learn more about the Foundation and read stories that include:
- The Passing of a Mensch
Despite being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and following public health guidelines, Archibald Honigman died at the Hospital in September 2021. His widow, Joanna Biondi, is “eternally grateful” for the compassionate care he experienced in the Hospital’s ICU.
- Comfort at Any Size
Plus-size patients at St. Boniface Hospital are further ensured safety, comfort, and dignity during their stays after a donation in 2021 helped purchase a suite of much-needed bariatric equipment.
- A Circle of Caring
Whether it’s an experience in the NICU or the ICU, recovery from heart surgery, or seeing a family member receive palliative care, St. Boniface Hospital is a special place because of its compassionate people.
St. Boniface Hospital Foundation’s annual report is out now.
