More than $60,000 was defrauded from a Morden business via stolen gift cards, a months-long police investigation has found.
A 19-year-old employee was fired after staff caught them stealing gift cards and adding store credit to the cards. Thousands of dollars in credit were allegedly added to the gift cards over a period of several months. The Morden Police Service was notified Oct. 18.
The 19-year-old has been charged with fraudulently obtaining credit.
