Friends of the Winnipeg Public Library’s annual fall book sale is happening Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be 60 tables of books, DVDs, CDs, art prints and posters for sale in the Grant Park High School gym. Proceeds will support special projects of the Winnipeg Public Library.

The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program requires bilingual volunteers to prepare simple income tax returns. Volunteers should have some experience preparing returns, be computer literate, enjoy meeting people from diverse backgrounds and be able to work one 5 1/2 hour shift on Thursdays in March and April.
