Prison officials are investigating after an inmate from Stony Mountain Institution died while in custody on Saturday.
David Midouin was serving a sentence of more than four years for firearms offences and other charges, including intimidation of a justice system participant or journalist.
As with all inmate deaths, the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances.
