Hey there, time traveller!

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s national tour of town hall meetings rolls into Winnipeg on Wednesday night.
Doors open at the University of Manitoba’s Investors Group Athletic Centre at 5 p.m., and the event begins at 7 p.m.
In 2017, Trudeau hosted town halls from coast to coast to coast, hearing directly from Canadians on how to create well-paying jobs, strengthen the middle class, grow the economy and ensure more opportunities for everyone, according to a statement from Winnipeg South MP Terry Duguid. (The area MP will accompany Trudeau to the town hall meeting at the U of M, the fifth stop in the tour.)
“This year, the prime minister will continue connecting and engaging with Canadians in their communities at public town halls across the country, discussing how we create growth that works for everyone, prepare for the jobs of the future, and build a stronger, more resilient middle class,” Duguid said.
Those who want to attend the Winnipeg town hall have been asked to RSVP online to Duguid. As of Tuesday afternoon, close to 2,500 people had done so, a spokeswoman for Duguid said. However, RSVPs do not guarantee access to the event — admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Attendees are asked to go to the southeast entrance of the Max Bell Centre. Large bags and coats or jackets will not be permitted inside the venue, and there is a mandatory coat check, organizers said.
Parking is limited at the site, so attendees are being advised to carpool or take Winnipeg Transit.
