People can bring their dogs into Happyland wading pool (520 Marion St.) and Bruce Park wading pool (1966 Portage Ave.) on Sept. 2 to close out the 2017 aquatics season.

Both wading pools will welcome dogs weighing less than 13 kilograms from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dogs over 13 kg from 1 to 3 p.m.

All dogs must have a valid city dog licence.

Registration can be completed by contacting 311.

Meanwhile, City of Winnipeg spray pads will remain open until Sept. 4.

Non-heated outdoor pools close Sept. 1. However, outdoor pools at Fort Garry Lions, Kildonan Park, Westdale, Freight House, St. Vital and Transcona Kinsmen Centennial will remain open until Sept. 4.

A number of City of Winnipeg wading pools will begin closing Aug. 23, with the exception of Bronx Park, Central Park, Cordova Park, Dakota Park, Ducharme Park, Keenleyside Park, Machray Park, McKittrick Park, Shaughnessy Park, Sturgeon Heights Community Centre, Vimy Ridge Memorial Park, West Kildonan Community Centre and Westdale Park — which will remain open until Sept. 4.
