A 21-year-old woman is in custody and faces charges for allegedly carjacking the vehicle of a patrolling security guard at Polo Park mall early Tuesday.
The woman is said to have jumped on the hood and then entered the passenger side of the vehicle.
Police said the guard got out of the driver’s seat and tried to get the suspect out, but was shoved away.
The suspect got into the driver’s seat and drove off, hitting the victim’s arm. He didn’t require medical attention.
Police tracked the vehicle via GPS and found it at McGregor Street and Mountain Avenue.
A 21-year-old woman is charged with robbery, possessing meth and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
The head of Polo Park security said the victim was a contractor.
