Winnipeg knows a thing or two about being a good host.

During Canada’s centennial in 1967, the city hosted the Pan Am Games. Now, 50 years later as the country marks its sesquicentennial, Winnipeg is home to the Canada Summer Games.

We take a look back at the event — held July 23 to Aug. 6, 1967 — that helped shape Winnipeg’s reputation as a host city.
