Free vaccination clinic to be held for dogs, cats

12:13 PM

A free clinic for dogs and cats to be vaccinated against rabies, distemper and parvo is being held in the West End on Sunday.

The walk-in clinic will be held at Valour Community Centre, 448 Burnell St., from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Winnipeg Humane Society, Veterinarians Without Borders North America and Feed the Furbabies Canada are hosting the clinic to mark World Rabies Day.

The former two organizations vaccinated 326 animals at last year’s clinic.

The society will also be offering basic physical exams and flea/ear mite treatment for cats, while Feed the Furbabies will provide free food for dogs and cats while supplies last.
