Jets winless streak hits five with OT loss to Wild

The Winnipeg Jets dropped a heartbreaker on Saturday night.
Mats Zuccarello tied the game with 20 seconds left in regulation, and then Matt Boldy scored 39 seconds into overtime to give the Minnesota Wild a 4-3 victory in front of a sold out crowd at Canada Life Centre.
The Jets are now winless in five games (0-2-3) and 15-17-4 overall on the year.
Josh Morrissey, Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele scored for the home team.
The Jets return to action on Monday when they host Edmonton.
Man dies in snowmobile collision

A 41-year-old man has died after being ejected from his snowmobile on Boxing Day.
Steinbach RCMP say the man, who is from the RM of La Broquerie, was riding the snowmobile on private property around noon when he lost control of it, crossed over the roadway and collided with the embankment on the opposite side.
The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance where he died of his injuries, a media release states.
The investigation continues.
Teen charged following collision with city bus: police

A 16-year-old boy is in custody after city police say he drove a stolen vehicle into a Transit bus.
Winnipeg police say they attempted to stop a 2014 Mazda 3GT near Dufferin Avenue and Salter Street around 10:30 a.m. Dec. 26. The vehicle didn’t stop and drove through a stop sign at Andrews Street and Selkirk Avenue where it collided with a Transit bus, a Saturday media release states. No injuries were reported.
The driver was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. Police say they found a handgun with an extended magazine and weapon light.
The teen is facing various charges including theft of motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of firearm, and dangerous operation of a conveyance.
