Postava shines as Griffins blank Moose
4:45 PM
A pair of road wins will be required for the Manitoba Moose to extend this Calder Cup playoff run.
The Grand Rapids Griffins earned a split in the best-of-five series with a 2-0 victory over the Moose on Sunday afternoon, evening things at one game a piece.
It was another fantastic goaltending duel, as Michal Postava made 30 saves to record the shutout, while Dom DiVincentiis made 32 saves for the Moose.
The Griffins got a power play goal from Michael Brandsegg-Nygard at 17:04 of the first period to take a lead they would not relinquish.
William Wallinder provided an insurance marker with 5:12 to go in regulation time.
The series shifts to Van Andel Arena for the final three games, if necessary, beginning with Game 3 on Wednesday.

A house fire occurred in the 600 block of Garfield Street North just before 2 p.m. and crews declared it under control at 2:18 p.m. A third fire occurred in a high-rise building on the 100 block of Young Street just before 5 p.m. Firefighters declared that blaze under control at about 5:19 p.m.
At 6:56 p.m., fire crews responded to a fire in a multi-unit residential building on the 300 block of Blake Street and declared the fire under control at 7:12 p.m. Many residents were able to return to their suites, and the emergency social services team responded to help displaced residents.
