Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 25/08/2009 (6076 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
I wanted to share an act of kindness that has been going on for a while.
Across the street from where I live there is a skateboard park called the Margaret Scott Park.
Practically every weekend and casual weekday I watch early in the morning as a elderly gentleman cleans the park of dispelled garbage (Slurpee cups, bags, etc.) that is left behind by the teens who frequent for a skate.
He never says a word, just goes about his "duty" til it is done and returns home.
I wanted to share this, thinking maybe the teens who attend this park will appreciate what this fellow does and think twice before throwing their garbage to the ground and start using the bins that are provided.
I am making an assumption here but I think this park may have some sort of sentimental meaning for this small-framed man.
Either way, thank you neighbor for your kindness and Thank you FP for letting me share
