Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 14/07/2010 (5780 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
I’m betting former Blue Bomber head coach Mike Kelly is somewhere wishing there was a serious beer cup snake issue last season when he was doing his best not to lose it on media types in live interview situations.
Although the most offensive thing happening in Bomberland these days is the toothless performance of the kick cover team, an off-field distraction always helps dim the sometimes glaring spotlight and pressure on the players.
We’ll be talking about the great beer snake debate tonight on our radio show, Stop the Presses on 92.9 Kick FM at 6 p.m.
Be sure to call in at 780-5425 and tell us what you think about this divisive issue.

Remember the story about the amazing bionic cat?
Of course you do, it was all over the web when it broke.
Here’s a follow-up video from YouTube that shows the final surgery and first tentative steps of the plucky feline.
It’s quite cool to see how quickly he adapts to the new legs.

Finally, some new-media food for thought…
Would you pay for the privilege of posting comments on a news site?
The Sun Chronicle in Massachusettes did just that. Their motivation was to tame the spamfest and trolling and give credibility to the comment system.
What do you think? Would that fly in Winnipeg?
