Justin Bieber is here. This you already knew. JB’s arrival in town is generating a level of excitement few will ever experience again. That must be a good feeling. Hold on to it. Remember how to work yourself up into a frenzy like that. I say that because as life goes on... what you deem "exciting" takes on a different look.

Think about what it is you get most excited about these days. Most likely it would have sounded like the least exciting thing ever when you were 13. For me, it’s the crossword in the Freep. Of all the things in life I could be doing, few compare to the level of satisfaction I get from sitting down and doing the crossword. I even time myself. Yes, very lame. At least I’m not alone. Getting excited for something that couldn’t sound less exciting is normal.

The flyers arriving on Thursdays? People find this exciting. Getting a new agenda book or daytimer and filling it in? People find this exciting as well. Putting on sweats? Some people look forward to that more than anything in the world. Using a vacation day to clean your house? Yep, exciting. Washing sheets and putting them back on the bed? Super fun for some.

So… my advice to those who are off the chain wicked-pumped for Bieber tonight: Enjoy yourself. Remember this moment. You deserve it. It’s your time. Flyers and sheets can wait.
