This Liberian wolf photo was named nature photo of the year. It beat out 40 thousand other entries.
"A Spanish photographer’s daring trip to capture a bloodthirsty Iberian wolf hurdling a fence under the cover of darkness has won the Natural History Museum’s prestigious Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year award.
José Luis Rodriguez’s photograph of the rare grey wolf species, which is subject to intense superstition in Spain thanks to unverified attacks on humans, beat more than 40,000 rivals from across the world in a competition which saw unprecedented entries this year."
