In his Aug. 14 article, Mack, LaPo equally responsible for mess; if one goes they both should go, Gary Lawless mentions that the Blue Bombers are burning through their goodwill in the community. I will second that thought.

At a time when the football club should be doing everything in its power to appease fans who have paid a premium for tickets in a stadium they won’t see for a year, management is going to extremes to tick us off. The near-strip searches we are required to go through to enter the stadium are ridiculous and in my opinion border on invasion of privacy. It’s easier to go through security at the airport.

We are no longer allowed to take bottled water in or even a roll of mints (seriously!). They want us to pay more than $3 for water we can buy at Costco for 20 cents. Security actually told us we could empty our bottle and fill it inside. When I asked if they had water fountains strategically placed throughout the stadium, I was told I could fill it in the washroom. I don’t want to use the washroom, period, and I am sure not drinking water from those pipes.

They should be giving bottles of water away. They should be reducing the cost of all beverages. They should be greeting fans with a smile and not a search warrant. I have been a season-ticket holder for 27 years and this administration is the worst.

I’m not asking to go back to the days when the fans in our area used to take turns bringing appetizers to the games. I am just asking for the respect we deserve as fans who have stayed through the good and the bad. This may just be enough to convince us to stay home and watch games on TV. At least then we’d have the option of changing the channel.
