Re: Jets star slapped with B.C. suit (April 3).
Reading the April 3 front-page headline Kane hit with lawsuit, a reader would presume this was a serious story.
Flipping to the article, it becomes obvious this is simply a sensationalist piece at the public expense of a young hockey player.
The matter was investigated by the Vancouver police, and there was no evidence to support any charges.
Crime writer Mike McIntyre doesn’t reveal anything in the line of new evidence, only repeating a lengthy allegation.
