Give mayoral hopeful Robert-Falcon Ouellette $5 and he’ll mail you two campaign buttons; $150 and he’ll give you a lawn sign.

Ouellette announced today that his campaign has launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding initiative with a goal of raising $20,000 in 35 days.

“Our message to supporters is ‘you aren’t just helping the campaign: you are the campaign,’” he said in a statement.

Besides buttons and a lawn sign, the initiative also includes a purple coloured T-shirt — Ouellette’s campaign colours — for a $25 donation.

Short on cash? For a buck donation, Ouellette will tweet his thanks to you personally. Flush with cash? For a $1,500 donation you can pay for a mail drop of 20,000 two sided full colour cards.

But Ouellette warns potential donors that by donating they also agree their name and dollar amount of the donation will be made public on his campaign website.

You can see the campaign here.
