Hey there, time traveller!

The Manitoba government has launched an online dashboard dedicated to COVID-19 cases in schools.
It provides current information, including cases within the last 14 days and the total number since Sept. 1, 2020, the province said in a statement Thursday.
In the past 14 days, there have been 60 COVID-19 cases — 49 students and 11 staff — at 47 schools.
The dashboard also includes cases where students or staff may not have been infectious while at school. A map allows the public to see individual school case counts for the last 14 days by location.
The new dashboard is a good start, but it doesn’t go far enough to foster transparency about school outbreaks, said Shraddha Pai, Ontario-based team lead for the volunteer-run online Canada COVID-19 School Tracker. Pai said its tracker includes at least 10 cases still missing from the Manitoba government’s dashboard.
“What’s good is the map feature, because families and school staff can use that as a measure of how many recent infections occur in their local community and make personal decisions accordingly,” Pai wrote in an email to the Free Press.
Pai suggested in addition to the case counts, the province start publishing dates of exposure and confirmation for each case, and list school and classroom closures — as some Ontario school boards have already done.
