The Winnipeg Blue Bombers continue to add pieces to their receiving corps.
The club announced Tuesday the signing of import wideout Tevin Reese, a former San Diego Chargers draft pick and standout at Baylor University. He joins a pass-catching crew that already upgraded this winter with the signings of former Saskatchewan Roughrider starters Weston Dressler and Ryan Smith.
Reese (5-10, 170) was selected in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Chargers after running a 4.41 40 at the NFL combine and then signed to the practice roster of the Cincinnati Bengals, where he remained for the rest of the ’14 season. The Bengals cut Reese late last August near the end of training camp.
Reese posted some spectacular numbers at Baylor. Over his four years there he pulled in 187 passes for 3,102 yards and 24 touchdowns, ranking him third in school history. He finished with a BCS record of 21 TDs of 40 yards or more and was a three-time All Big-12 honouree.
