Hey there, time traveller!

The Winnipeg Goldeyes caught a big fish on Thursday.
The team has re-signed the 2017 American Association’s most valuable player, Josh Romanski.
The 31-year old outfielder batted .324 with 74 runs scored, 27 doubles, 11 home runs, 81 RBIs, 10 stolen bases and 46 walks during his 2017 MVP campaign. A left-handed hitter and fielder, Romanski also finished last season ranked fourth in the AA in batting average, tied for fifth in runs, and tied for third in RBIs. Romanski returns for his third season in Winnipeg, as he was a major contributor in the Goldeyes’ 2016 and 2017 league championships.
Earlier this season, Romanski played in 27 games for the Mexican League’s Pericos de Puebla before being released. It was rumoured Romanski contemplated retiring before ultimately deciding to return to the Goldeyes’ lineup. The Fish headed into Thursday night’s game versus the St. Paul Saints with a 16-15 record, three games back of the North Division leading Saints.
