University of Manitoba Bisons midfielder Jessica Tsai has been named to the U Sports women’s soccer all-rookie squad.

Tsai, an 18-year-old from Winnipeg, had 14 points (six goals, eight assists) to lead the Bisons in her first year with the team and had the third-highest total among all players in the Canada West conference.

Tsai also finished ninth in Canada West with 36 shots, scored two game-winning goals and started all 14 matches for the Bisons, who finished with their best record since 2007 at 8-5-1.
