ABOUT THE STARS
— Dallas went on an 11-0-1 run before an 0-2-1 skid, punctuated by a 3-2 shootout loss to the Wild in St. Paul, Minn., on Sunday.
— Restricted free agent D Julius Honka is ineligible to play in the NHL for the rest of the season because he was not under contract as of Dec. 1. Honka, who asked for a trade prior to training camp and was a healthy scratch for the final 35 regular-season games of 2018-19, is currently playing for JyP HT Jyvaskyla the Finnish Liiga. He has three goals and six goals in 15 games.
— The Stars have notched a win in four of their last six games against the Jets.
— RW Alexander Radulov has earned points in five of his six career games (two goals, four assists) at Bell MTS Place. C Joe Pavelski has hit the scoresheet in eight of his previous 10 games (seven goals, six assists) in Winnipeg, while LW Jamie Benn has points in nine of his last 12 contests (seven goals, seven assists) against the Jets.
— The Stars have an overall record of 15-10-3 and have gone 6-6-2 on the road. Dallas’ power play is operating at 15.4 per cent efficiency (12-for-78) and its penalty killers are successful at an 83.5 per cent clip (81-for-97).
— Twenty-year-old D Miro Heiskanen is having a superb sophomore season in the NHL with six goals and 17 points in 28 games.
— Injury report: C Martin Hanzal (back) is on long-term injured reserve… D Stephen Johns (post-traumatic headaches) on IR retroactive to Oct. 1.
