Southwood’s Rhonda Orr and Braxton Kuntz of Breezy Bend are the province’s amateur golfers of the year in 2022, Golf Manitoba announced Wednesday.
It is the fourth time that Orr has been recognized as Manitoba’s top female golfer, having previously won in 2016, 2018 and 2019.
Orr, a 61-year-old Winnipegger, won the mid-amateur flight and finished second overall at the Diamond Athletic Women’s Amateur Championship. She also represented Team Manitoba at the Canadian Women’s Amateur and won the Hodson Financial Women’s Senior Championship, her seventh senior provincial championship in a row and ninth in ten years.
