The fifth-year University of Winnipeg guard was named a first-team all-Canadian Wednesday night at the national championship tournament in Sydney, N.S..
Last week, the Winnipeg product was named a first-team all-Canada West for the third time in her career. It was the fifth time in her five seasons she earned a conference all-star award.
It was the third all-Canadian honour for Giles and her second first-team award. Giles was a second-team all-conference last season.
Giles was enjoying her finest season before a knee injury ended her season on Feb. 2.
In 2022-23, Giles averaged a career high 21.9 points per game and posted the second-best rebounds-per-game mark of her career at 8.6 per contest. She also averaged 5.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game.
