Elm Creek’s Corinne Schroeder has been named the Premier Hockey Federation’s rookie of the year.

The 23-year-old Boston Pride goaltender set PHF single season records with 19 wins, seven shutouts and 761 saves in 2022-23.

She also led all puckstoppers with a goals-against-average of 1.67 and a save percentage of .955 in 22 starts for the first-place Pride.

Schroeder signed with Boston after completing five full NCAA seasons, including four years at Boston University before transferring to Quinnipiac University for a graduate season in 2021-22.

“I’m incredibly honored to be this season’s rookie of the year award recipient, it was truly a season to remember for me,” said Schroeder in a release. “Reflecting on this past season, I think it was one of my best ever, especially in terms of consistency. I believe the degree to which I was challenged each and every game played a huge part in my growth and development throughout this season. I am very thankful for that and look forward to seeing the level of competition in the PHF continue to elevate in future seasons.”

Schroeder are both finalists for the PHF’s most valuable player award, outstanding player of the year and goaltender of the year.
