Swan River’s Crystal Zamzow shot even-par 72 Tuesday to surge to the top of the leaderboard after the second round of the Manitoba Junior Girls Golf Championship at the Teulon Golf & Country Club.
Zamzow’s two-day total 151 is good for a two-stroke lead on first-round leader Jeri Lafleche of Clear Lake Golf and Addison Kartusch of St. Charles.
Zamzow was sitting in third place, five shots behind 16-year-old Lafleche with Monday’s opening round 79.

Swan River’s Crystal Zamzow shot even-par 72 Tuesday to surge to the top of the leaderboard after the second round of the Manitoba Junior Girls Golf Championship.
Lafleche fired a 79 Tuesday while Kartusch, the defending provincial champion, had a 77.
The 54-hole event wraps up Wednesday.
Zamzow also leads the 17- and 18-year-old age group by nine shots over Cala Korman while Lafleche and Kartusch share the lead in the 15- and 16-year-old division.
On the junior boys side, opening-round leader Teerawut Boonseeor, a 14-year-old from Thailand, carded a 77 to take a three-shot lead over Grady Chuback of St. Charles.
Chuback, a 17-year-old who finished second to 2022 junior boys champ Braxton Kuntz of Breezy Bend Country Club, shot a 76 Wednesday.
In the 17- and 18-year-old division, Chuback has a three-stroke edge on Carman’s Ryan Orchard.
Meanwhile, Terence Rafferty of Southwood Golf and Country Club held a five-stroke advantage over St. Boniface’s Payne Wood and Dauphin’s Jackson Delaurier in the 15- and 16-year-old division.
Boonseeor had a 16-shot lead on Ty Brewster among 13- and 14-year-olds.
