Kerri Einarson and Jennifer Jones won’t be there, but Morden will still be hosting a highly competitive event Jan. 23-28 to crown the provincial women’s curling champion.

The Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts announced its field Tuesday and it features five of the top 20 foursomes on the Women’s Canadian Team Ranking System (CTRS): No. 4-ranked Kaitlyn Lawes, No. 8 Kate Cameron, No. 9 Jolene Campbell, No, 14 Beth Peterson, and No. 20 Kristy Watling.

Lawes and her teammates Selena Njegovan, Jocelyn Peterman, Kristin MacCuish will be the top seed in Morden.

The rest of the 12-team tournament features Tiffany Hayward (Dauphin), Shaela Hayward (Carman), Rachel Kaatz (AMCC), Emily Cherwinski (AMCC), Emma Jensen (Heather), Zoey Terrick (Heather) and Lisa McLeod (Portage).
