TORONTO – The Toronto Blue Jays recalled Cavan Biggio from triple-A Buffalo on Thursday and optioned fellow infielder Vinny Capra to the Bisons.
Biggio spent just over a week with Buffalo after a three-week stint on the COVID-19 injured list.
In 10 games with the Bisons this year, he hit .276 with a .462 on-base percentage.
Entering Thursday’s road game against the Los Angeles Angels, Biggio had a .043 average and .214 OBP with the Blue Jays this season.
Over his first 12 games, he had one hit in 23 at-bats with two runs scored.
