William Lyburn of Brandon defeated Terry McNamee of Hamiota 8-3 in the final of the Brandon men’s bonspiel to earn a berth into the Safeway championship, Feb. 10-14 in Steinbach.
Lyburn took a pair in the second end and three in the fourth and fifth.
Lyburn and his team of third Geordie Hargreaves, second Keith Marshall and lead Mike Marshall disposed of Murray Warren of Deloraine 8-3 in one semi while McNamee beat Sean Grassie of Deer Lodge 8-4 in the other.
