Harshest critic
Joelle Brown and her Fort Rouge foursome of Tracey Lavery, Tamara Bauknecht and Kristie Moroz are a perfect 4-0 after two wins Thursday, but there’s apparently plenty of room for improvement.
"We have another ‘W’, but that’s what you call winning ugly," Brown said after a 10-5 victory over Brandon’s Liza Park in the afternoon draw. "As a team, we didn’t play a very good game and we got fortunate in a couple of ends… Right now, we’re just not where we want to be with regards to how we’re throwing it."
Men’s seeding set
Curl Manitoba announced Thursday the seeding for the Safeway Zone Playdowns, which run Jan. 12-17 throughout the province. The Winnipeg zones will take place at the Grain Exchange, West Kildonan and Elmwood curling clubs.
