MONTREAL ALOUETTES at WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

Tonight, 7:30 p.m. TV: TSN. Radio: CJOB

Vegas line: Montreal -2.5

Alouettes line: A two-game losing streak has the red flags up in Montreal. Quarterback Anthony Calvillo continues to lead the CFL in passing yardage — despite spending all that time on his back — so what’s the problem? The defence looked good in the second half against Toronto last week, but overall they’ve been a ‘D.’

Bombers line: So Alex Brink goes 26-of-38 against Edmonton last week to lift his 2012 completion percentage to 50 per cent? Not sure how much confidence he inspires leading the offence. No matter. It’s his unit for at least another week or so. He’ll have to put some points on the board. Winnipeg lost 41-30 to Montreal earlier this year.

Bottom line: Get the feeling these two will be fighting for a playoff spot at the end of the season?

B.C. LIONS at TORONTO ARGONAUTS

Monday, 4 p.m. TV: TSN

Vegas line: B.C. -2.5

Lions line: No smarter play in football than what Andrew Harris showed against the Stamps. Fighting off tackles in the Lions backfield, he pitched the ball underhand towards a B.C. receiver in the Calgary end zone, negating the certain loss with an incomplete pass. Man, that was cool. Do it again, please.

Argos line: Beating Montreal in Montreal is no easy task, so credit to Scott Milanovich and his staff. The Boatmen came ready to play. The defence continues to force turnovers, which has allowed the offence to find its way through the first month. Ricky Ray can’t do it by himself, though.

Bottom line: The Argos’ chances for victory go up if they keep Travis Lulay in the pocket.
