Some thoughts from Bomber head coach Mike Kelly after Wednesday’s 32-22 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Canad Inns Stadium:

“It’s just a preseason game, a practice game, that’s all it is. But a lot of kids played pretty well tonight and they’ll make our decision-making process pretty tough over the next 48 hours. I said all along I don’t want to get rid of any of these guys. These guys have been absolutely great and they showed it tonight.

“We played with poise. We played with determination. We played fast and we played hard — those are all the things we’ve been preaching since Day 1. Defensively I saw 12 gold helmets around the ball a lot. We’re taking baby steps but we’re pointed in the direction we want to go.”
