Mike Kelly became the fifth consecutive Bomber head coach to lose his regular-season debut, following Doug Berry in 2006, Jim Daley in 2005, Dave Ritchie in 1999 and Jeff Reinebold in 1997. The last Bomber coach to win his debut was Urban Bowman back in 1992.

No fancy passing

The Bombers haven’t had a QB throw for over 300 yards in six consecutive games, including last year’s playoff loss to Edmonton. Kevin Glenn was the last pivot to eclipse the 300 mark, with 390 yards in a loss in Edmonton last Oct. 4.

Road worriers

Winnipeg is now just 2-7-1 in its last 10 games at Commonwealth Stadium and 3-7 overall in its last 10 road contests.
