Champs get boost
The Stampeders are expecting receivers Ken-Yon Rambo and Ryan Thelwell and O-linemen Jeff Pilon and Jesse Newman — all of whom were spectators in last week’s loss to Montreal — back in their lineup for Friday’s Bomber home opener.
FYI
Jovon and James Johnson, Fred Reid and Lavarus Giles have all been taking turns returning kicks this week and could be used against Calgary. James Johnson missed last week’s loss to Edmonton but may be activated against the Stamps.
Quotable
"I’ve always got a little tingle down my spine watching (the Bombers historical ‘Heroes’ video). I love the history of this club. I can win lots of bar bets with stuff that I know not only on this club, but the CFL." — head coach Mike Kelly on exposing his troops to the Bomber history at Tuesday night’s Legacy Dinner.
