Barrin blues

Linebacker Barrin Simpson has been nursing a severe case of turf toe for most of the season and it may have finally gotten the best of him. Simpson has not practised this week and called himself “questionable” for Sunday.

Hold it

The Bombers are working out both receiver Aaron Hargreaves and punter Mike Renaud to hold on converts and field goals. Both players have experience doing the job in college.

Jumping Jovon

DB and punt returner Jovon Johnson (whiplash) says he’ll go on Sunday as does safety Ian Logan (groin). There was some fear Johnson was concussed but coach Mike Kelly said he passed the required neurological tests.
