A FORMER Winnipeg Blue Bomber who spent parts of the 2006 and 2007 seasons with the CFL club was shot and killed outside a convenience store Saturday morning in Dallas.
Gabriel Fulbright, a defensive back during his time with the Bombers, was shot to death after leaving the store around 2:50 a.m.
Several witnesses heard the gunshot but told detectives they never saw the shooter, Dallas media reported over the weekend.
He had a nine-month-old daughter named Gabrielle, according to the man’s aunt.
Detectives said that it was too early to determine a motive in the killing and that they had limited witness information and no suspect description.
After graduating high school in 2001 and attending the University of New Mexico, Fulbright played football north of the border until he was released by the Bombers in 2007.
