ON THE ROAD: 3-3

VS. THE EAST: 3-3

2010 OFFENSIVE RANKINGS: Overall scoring: sixth (24.7 points per game); passing: seventh (249.1 yards per game); rushing: fifth (104.8 yards per game).

2010 DEFENSIVE RANKINGS: Overall scoring: second (24.5 points per game); passing: second (261.4 yards per game); rushing: seventh (131.8 yards per game).

TURNOVER RATIO: plus-5 (third overall)

THE QB

No. 14 Travis Lulay: The Montana State redhead first burst onto the CFL scene in a game against Winnipeg last season, leading to the Leos to a victory at Canad Inns Stadium. Since then, he’s found himself within the B.C. triangle of quarterbacks (with Casey Printers and Jarious Jackson), before becoming the No. 1 guy versus the Bombers last week (a 16-14 Lions win). His passing numbers aren’t great: 97-of-166 for 1,252 yards with two TDs and seven interceptions, but…

Quick take: As Winnipeg found out last weekend, Lulay can make things happen with his legs (197 yards on 35 carries this season). He’s not afraid to tuck it away and run, so the Bombers will have to be a little smarter in their contain. The sacks look great on paper, but not if Lulay is going to run past the approaching edge to either find open space or an open receiver. Best scenario for the Bombers: Keep him in the pocket and let him make a mistake throwing the ball.

OFFENSIVE WEAPONRY

No. 81 Geroy Simon, SB: The overall numbers are down slightly (892 yards, five TDs) but the veteran continues to lead the B.C. receiving corps. The one-time Bomber had five catches for 84 yards last week.

No. 25 Jamal Robertson, RB: He leads all CFL starting backs with a lofty 7.1 yards per carry average, but doesn’t see the ball that much (100 carries this season). His seven TDs are tops the club.

DEFENSIVE STOPPERS

No. 24 Korey Banks, LB: How is this for a solid campaign? Banks has three forced fumbles and six QB sacks — both career highs — and continues to be a leader on defence.

No. 31 Dante Marsh DB: The Lions have 16 interceptions this season (third in the CFL), making Marsh just one of many ball-hawks in the secondary. His three picks are tied for the team lead.

THE SPECIALISTS

No. 32 Yonus Davis, KR: The most dangerous Lion on the field — period. Davis averages nearly 27 yards per kickoff return and looks like he’ll break one every time he touches the ball.

No. 4 Paul McCallum, K: The veteran has been the best kicker in the CFL, hitting 35-of-39 FG attempts (89.7 per cent), but he’s hurting with a bad hammy. Backup Sean Whyte gets the call if McCallum can’t go.
