Eskimos by 7 points.

BOMBERS VS. ESKS:

Since 1938, Edmonton holds a 90-83-3 record all-time vs. the Bombers; Winnipeg is 5-4-1 in its last 10 vs. Edmonton.

BLUE ROSTER UPDATE:

The Bombers have made a swack of changes, so take a deep breath here: QB Joey Elliott will make his first start with new QBs Justin Goltz and Zac Champion dressing for Steven Jyles (shoulder) and Alex Brink (collarbone). RB Chris Garrett has been added for Yvenson Bernard; Chris Greaves will start at LG over Brendon LaBatte (biceps); CB Johnny Sears lines up in place of Deon Beasley (ill); WR Markus Howell will dress over SB Brock Ralph while Don Oramasionwu will start at DT in place of Dorian Smith, who was placed on the one-game injured list.

Recently acquired OL Matt Morencie, plucked off the Ticat practice roster, was added to the four-man reserve list but did not make the trip to Edmonton.

OH THE HUMANITY:

The Bombers are 0-8 on the road this year and are trying to avoid going winless away from Canad Inns Stadium for the first time since going 0-9 in 1998 under Jeff Reinebold.

FYI:

Elliott becomes the fourth QB to start this year after Buck Pierce, Jyles and Brink. Winnipeg has had 10 different QBs under contract in this calendar year, including Stefan LeFors, Ricky Santos and Adam DiMichele and newcomers Champion, Goltz and Frank Wilczynski.

WORTH NOTING:

Bomber DE Phillip Hunt has 15 sacks this season, the most by a Bomber since Joe Fleming in 1998, and has at least one QB kill in nine straight games… The Bombers are 0-10 this season when committing more turnovers than their opponent… Bomber RB Fred Reid needs 117 yards rushing in his final two games to set a career high in rushing. Reid had 1,371 yards last season and is at 1,255 this year.

LOOK OUT:

The Eskimos are making two changes to the left side of their offensive line with Jeremy Parquet and Kyle Koch both out with injuries. Stepping in are import rookie Patrick Afif, who was released after training camp and brought back, and veteran Kelly Bates.

OUCH… AGAIN:

Bomber FB Jon Oosterhuis has been fined a second time by the CFL for wearing pink gloves in last week’s game vs. the Argos. The league is not allowing its players to wear pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month because it goes against uniform policy.

SO MUCH FOR CONTINUITY:

The Esks have made 13 changes to their 24 starters since the last time these teams met on July 24; the Bombers have made 10 adjustments to their starting lineup.
