Porter makes sitcom debut

Hamilton Tiger-Cats backup quarterback Quinton Porter made his prime-time American television debut on Wednesday night. Sort of. Porter’s image appeared briefly on a television that was on in the background of a scene of the hit sitcom, Modern Family.

Alas, Porter missed it. “It’s funny because it’s probably the only show I watch on a regular basis and it’s my wife’s favourite show,” Porter told the Hamilton Spectator. “But I’d already gone to bed.”

It’s cold in Hamilton, too

The Ticats practiced in sub-zero temperatures at Ivor Wynne Stadium just like the Bombers did here on Thursday and Ticats coach Marcel Bellefeuille told the Hamilton Spectator that suited him just fine. “These were excellent conditions for practice today,” Bellefeuille said. “It was exactly the conditions we’re going to face Sunday. It might be a little colder but very similar.”
