The Winnipeg Blue Bombers added another offensive lineman to their roster on Thursday, picking up import Quentin Saulsberry for his first CFL stint.

Saulsberry, a 6-2, 304-pound Mississippi State alumnus, bounced around the American pro leagues since he went undrafted in the 2012 NFL draft. After a tryout with the Minnesota Vikings ended before that season started, he spent the rest of the 2012-13 season on the Denver Broncos practice roster.

However, Saulsberry has had some troubled episodes in his short career. After joining the Broncos, he served a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy. In May of 2013, he was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence, the Denver Post reported that summer. It was not widely reported how that case was resolved.

Last year, he played with the New Orleans Voodoo of the Arena Football League.

Saulsberry started his college career at tackle, but moved to guard in his sophomore year and started all 13 games at guard or centre in his senior season.

The Bombers also released non-import linebacker Philippe Dubuisson.
