Hey there, time traveller!

Winnipeg Blue Bombers slotback Nick Moore will make his return to the lineup Monday in Edmonton for the first time since his club’s loss in Regina in the Labour Day Weekend Classic.
Moore — who was Winnipeg’s big free-agent signing last winter, landing a contract that will pay him $185,000 this year — has battled injuries all season and missed seven of his team’s 14 games.
The injuries have been frustrating for Moore and even more so for the Bombers, who’d expected Moore to be a go-to receiver for Drew Willy this season after Moore finished third in receiving yards in the CFL in 2013.
“It’s frustrating,” Moore said Saturday after his team’s final full practice in advance of Monday’s game. “I haven’t played like I wanted to. But it’s football — things happen and people get injured and you kind of have to live with it and just move on.”
Moore has been effective when he has played this season — 32 catches for 469 yards in the seven games he has played, a pace that would have translated into well over 1,000 yards this season if he’d stayed healthy.
The injury bug is new to Moore, who has managed to stay mostly healthy his entire career. “Not a big injury guy — maybe a game here or there. But seven games this year — it’s been tough… Bad luck I guess. It just happens.”

The Bombers are taking a charter flight to Edmonton, marking the first time the club has not flown commercially to a regular-season game in recent memory.
Other CFL teams — particularly in the West Division — make more frequent use of charter flights than Winnipeg and Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea was asked Saturday if having your own plane come and go on your schedule gives a team an advantage.
“It’s a big deal,” said O’Shea. “It’s a nice perk for the guys. It certainly helps us out. The following week we’re on a short week, so it buys us an extra day where we can get back home (Monday night), instead of spending an extra night and not getting home until one or so the next afternoon.”
The Bombers play Monday afternoon and again next Saturday evening at home against the league-leading Calgary Stampeders.
The Bombers invited fans to join them this weekend on the team flight, in part to help underwrite the extra costs of the charter. About 20 fans have paid about $800 apiece to make the trip.
