Hey there, time traveller!

THE Winnipeg Blue Bombers have 16 players who could become free agents in February unless the Bombers re-sign or trade them before then.

Six of those were regular starters in 2014, including five from the defence. And another potential free agent is No. 2 quarterback Brian Brohm.

Here’s what those seven men had to say Sunday about their future — and a list of the other Bombers who could hit free agency this winter:

Johnny Sears, LB/DB — “I love it here. Taking that shot (at the NFL) is in the back of my mind, as I think it is with most American players. But at the end of the day, whatever may transpire, this has been my first home and I wouldn’t want to go nowhere else in the CFL.”

Ian Wild, LB — “I love Winnipeg. This city — I’ve made a lot of good relationships with fans and people in the city. So I really feel at home here. But we’ll see where it takes me. You can only take it day by day and we’ll see what happens… If I’m playing in the CFL, I’d like it to be Winnipeg. I will say that.”

Matt Bucknor, CB (non-import) — “Honestly, I’d like to be back. I’ve never been through this free-agency process so I’m kind of just learning the ropes and I’ve been talking to my agent and figuring things out…That would be great to come back and get paid. Obviously anybody would want that.”

Desia Dunn, LB/DB — “I haven’t thought much about it because I haven’t really been a free agent the past few years. But I’d absolutely like to be back here. I wouldn’t want to play for any other CFL team. Winnipeg has treated me pretty good. The fans here are great. I love the coaching staff and management. And everything has been first class. There’s nothing to complain about.”

Demond Washington, DB/LB — “I’ve played three years of CFL football and all three were here. It feels like home to me. Hopefully they can offer me something and make me come back. I’d love it. But at the same time, I can’t just have my mind set on just one place… Free agency is coming. It’s an open market. Hopefully they make me an offer.”

Glenn January, OT — “My goal is to remain a Blue Bomber… I’d love to (come back). From the coaches on down, this is a good work environment and it’s something that, even for an old guy, I can appreciate.”

Brian Brohm, QB — “Absolutely, I’d like to be back. I really enjoyed my time here and thought we had a great quarterback room. I enjoyed playing here. We’ll see what happens, but I’d definitely like to come back.”
