The Winnipeg Blue Bombers added import defensive back Lin-J Shell to their practice roster Monday.
Shell, 33, is a native of Orlando, Fla., and has played six CFL season, most recently with the Calgary Stampeders last season.
Shell played in all 18 regular-season games plus two post-season games in 2014 en route to Calgary’s Grey Cup victory.
To make room for Shell, the Bombers released defensive back Malachi Freeman.
