NUMBER OF PLAYERS IN CAMP: 34

WALKING WOUNDED: Not participating for a second straight day were SB Addison Richards (hip surgery last year); WR Kevin Cone (shoulder) and OL Jace Daniels (ankle surgery last year). The Bombers have their fingers crossed all three will be good to go when main camp starts next month.

CLEAN SLATE: The Bombers made a big splash in free agency this winter, but no addition shook up the CFL neighbourhood more than running back Andrew Harris. Not only is he a Winnipeg product, he’d been a prolific part of the B.C. Lions attack over the past few years.

But last season also brought some controversy, most notably when Harris grumbled publicly about his workload — a move that didn’t sit well with Lions boss Wally Buono and apparently ruffled feathers inside the dressing room.

That subject was broached Tuesday in Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea’s daily press conference.

“It’s a clean slate here, it really is,” said the coach. “I don’t want to bridle his passion, that’s for sure. I don’t know his relationship with his other teammates. I don’t know what that dressing room was like. I don’t think there are going to be any issues here. I really don’t foresee that.

“My door should be open. I’d rather he comes to me first before he shares his feelings publicly. But we’re going to make sure that everybody here understands their role and is good with their role. We’re trying to build the team-first culture like every team tries to do. Wally’s the winningest coach of all time in CFL history and Andrew Harris is a helluva running back. So you get two competitive guys and… they all want to win, right? Andrew wants to win here and I want to win here, too.”

NEXT: There is just one final practice at Bombers mini-camp and it goes this morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Investors Group Field. It is open to the public.
