WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat to a two-year extension.

The 28-year-old native of Dallas has spent the past two seasons with the Bombers.

In 2018, he had five sacks, two forced fumbles and 21 defensive tackles in 12 games. Jeffcoat added two sacks in the playoffs.

In his 2017 rookie season, Jeffcoat finished tied for the team lead in sacks with seven.

“Jackson has continued to develop into a very strong pass rusher for us,” said Bombers general manager Kyle Walters. “He was able to come back strong after missing some time due to injury last season, and really played well in the post-season for us as well. He’s a big part of our defence up front and we are thrilled to have him back.”
