AP source: Falcons reach 1-year deal with DE Calais Campbell
2 minute read 3:18 PM CDTATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms on a one-year contract with free agent defensive end Calais Campbell on Wednesday, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press.
Campbell, who played the past three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, has agreed to play the 2023 season in Atlanta, said the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract has not been signed.
Campbell, who turns 37 on Sept. 1, has 99 career sacks, including 5 1/2 in 2022. Campbell is expected to provide a veteran boost to Atlanta's pass rush, which ranked last in sacks in 2021 and was next to last with 21 last season.
The Ravens released Campbell on March 13 after he announced he would return for his 16th season. The six-time Pro Bowler has played 227 games with Arizona, Jacksonville and Baltimore.

1 minute read Preview Monday, Mar. 27, 2023JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Free agent defensive linemen Michael Dogbe and Henry Mondeaux signed one-year contracts with Jacksonville on Monday, giving the team some depth after veteran Arden Key landed in Tennessee.
Dogbe started four of 13 games with Arizona in 2022. He finished with 28 tackles, including one tackle for loss. The Cardinals drafted him in the seventh round in 2019.
Mondeaux started four of 11 games with the New York Giants in 2022. He finished with 16 tackles. He played the previous two seasons for Pittsburgh and also has spent time with New Orleans and Kansas City.
The Jaguars are still looking to replace veteran backups Key and Dawuane Smoot. Key signed with the rival Titans, and Smoot remains unsigned while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon sustained in late December. They did re-sign veteran backup Adam Gotsis but are likely to select at least one defensive lineman in next month's NFL draft.

The 28-year-old Wilson also recorded one sack on defense.
Wilson played for the Minnesota Vikings from 2017-20 before splitting time in 2021 with the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles. Wilson signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati.
49ers acquire K Zane Gonzalez in trade with Panthers

The teams will exchange a conditional swap of late-round picks in the 2025 draft to complete the deal which will be finalized once Gonzalez passes a physical.
Carolina re-signed kicker Eddy Piñeiro on Thursday and planned to release Gonzalez before reaching the deal with San Francisco.
The Niners had been seeking a kicker since deciding not to bring back Gould as a free agent. The 40-year-old Gould joined the 49ers in 2017 and made 87.5% of his field goals over six seasons.
Panthers agree to deal with receiver DJ Chark

The 26-year-old Chark, a five-year veteran, had 30 receptions for 502 yards and three touchdowns for Detroit last season.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the NFL Network reported it was for one year.
Chark joins veteran Adam Thielen, who agreed to deal with Carolina on Sunday, as part of a revamped receiving corps for the Panthers, who traded their best wideout, D.J. Moore, to the Chicago Bears as part of a package for the top overall pick in the draft.
Ravens agree to deal with WR Nelson Agholor

Goodwin’s addition comes two days after the Browns acquired wide receiver Elijah Moore in a trade from the New York Jets. Goodwin spent last season with Seattle, finishing with 27 receptions for 387 yards and four touchdowns.
Goodwin gives the Browns more depth at wide receiver and another deep target for quarterback Deshaun Watson.

He played in 15 games and made eight starts last season — his second with the Titans — and set a career high with 50 tackles. He also played 74% of Tennessee's special teams snaps.
Cole signed with Houston in 2017 after going undrafted out of Missouri State in his hometown of Springfield.

The contracts were pending completion of their physical exams.
Powell played the past two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams and had 24 catches for 156 yards in 2022. He initially latched on as an undrafted free agent out of Florida in 2018 with the Detroit Lions. Powell is also a return specialist, with 57 career kickoff returns and 49 career punt returns. He had a 61-yard punt return for a touchdown against the Vikings on Dec. 26, 2021.
Reeder also played his first three years in the league with the Rams. He spent the 2022 season with the Los Angeles Chargers. Reeder, who has 25 career starts in 66 games, made the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Delaware in 2019. He's a high school teammate of Vikings right tackle Brian O'Neill, from Wilmington, Delaware.
