FORMER LPGA winner and Manitoba junior and amateur champion Gail Graham along with LPGA members Brittany Lincicome and Anna Rawson will conduct a free Tuesday clinic at the range at St. Charles Country Club during the upcoming CN Canadian Women’s Open.
The clinic will be part of some major action at St. Charles on Tuesday of tournament week. That day, Aug. 24, kids of all ages and any adults that accompany them will have free access to the grounds.
It’s being called CN Future Links day and will include the CN Future Links Skills Challenge national finals. Twenty-four finalists have advanced from sites all across the country in putting, chipping, iron play and driving, all in three different age categories. The competition goes from 9 a.m. until noon.
Following Graham’s, Lincicome’s and Rawson’s clinic at 1 p.m., any kids onsite at St. Charles will be welcome to participate in the skills challenge and prizes and a barbecue will be courtesy of CN Future Links.
Golf Canada and the CN Canadian Women’s Open also announced Friday they have intent-to-play confirmations from all 30 of the top 30 players on the LPGA Tour’s money-list.
The final entry confirmations will be made next Tuesday, nine days before the national championship begins on Aug. 26.
